Sevier Ave. Streetscape Project

please pardon the mess…

If you’ve visited Sevier Avenue lately, there’s no denying the Streetscape Project is in full swing. The good news is they are roughly halfway to the completion date.

Our studio is right in the middle of this work, so here are a few things you’ll need to know:

February Update: During the current phase of construction there are times when traffic is one-way with a flagger present. Be on the lookout for lane shifts, and allow a few extra minutes for driving and and parking!

There are lots of options for parking for our Sevier Ave. studio:
— Alliance Brewing Parking Lot
@ east end of our building
— Parallel Street Parking:
Sevier Ave, Foggy Bottom St, Langford Ave, & Waterfront Dr.
— Across the street: gravel lot or after hours at Riverside Vet
— Just a short walk away: Suttree Landing Park, JWP Underpass, South Knox Elementary (after hours), or Johnson Architecture’s paid lot

good things are coming!

The Sevier Ave. Streetscape Project is bringing big improvements, furthering the dynamic growth of our community

along the South Knox Waterfront

Growth can be a little messy.. but the upgrades are going to worth it. This long-awaited project focuses on safety, accessibility, and beautification. The City of Knoxville is investing over $19 million into our neighborhood.

Upgrades will include:

  • Wide ADA-compliant sidewalks

  • New streetlights, traffic signals, and crossings

  • Upgraded utilities and relocation of utility lines below ground

  • A roundabout at the intersection of Sevier Ave., Foggy Bottom St., and Island Home Ave.
